I hated smelly gyms, exercising and getting all sweaty. OMG! Dare to Be Fit change all that for me!


Hi, I am Juile age 46.  I never like working out, getting all sweaty and I don't like gyms.  But since I became a member of Dare to Be Fit, all that has changed.  I am no longer on blood pressure medication.  I look and feel more energic and trim.  People are comlimenting me all the time on how much I have changed.  I smile a lot more because I feel so good.  Coach discovered the 'gym rat' in me and I am proud to say that I am in the best shape ever at 46 years old.  If you are serious about exercise and healthy choices, then Coach, Ray and Ty will lead you every step of the way.  Dare to Be Fit is like my very own personal training club.

Thinking about getting a pet? Here are six good reasons why you should.

There are a lot of reasons why people don’t have pets. Some say they’re too noisy, too much work, or too much money to take care of. For those who rent their home or have allergies, pets may not even be an option.

However, if you live where pets are allowed and you’re not allergic, there are also a lot of reasons why you should own a pet.

While cats and dogs are the most popular types of pets, they aren’t the only options. Birds, fish, rabbits, guinea pigs, reptiles, ferrets, chickens, hamsters, and horses are just a few alternatives. Depending on your personality, you may prefer something more exotic. But regardless of your choice, pets come with some major perks.

Get More Exercise

Many pets require daily exercise for good health. This is a win-win situation. You get exercise the same time you take Fido for a walk. Walking around the neighborhood every day or playing fetch are great ways to get out of the house and get the exercise you both need.

Whether it’s the extra exercise, the stress relief, or the companionship, pets seem to be good for your heart. Furry and feathered critters have been shown to lower risk factors of heart disease for their owner. That’s right. Pet owners have lower blood pressure, triglyceride levels, and cholesterol levels. For these reasons, people who own a pet seem to have a lower risk of heart attack.

Boost Your Mood

When you’re lonely, scared, or sad, pets have a way of helping you feel better. You’re never alone when they’re nearby. Snuggling with a favorite pet can provide comfort and playing with a pet can bring joy. Having a pet to take care of adds a sense of purpose and fulfillment to your life.

Pets are also a great way to boost morale. Want to put a smile on other people’s faces? Take a pet to a hospital or nursing home facility. Then sit back and watch as patients or residents perk up and smile.

Pets are great conversation starters. When you can’t think of anything else to talk about, there’s always something to say about your pet. Most people like to talk about their pets, whether their pet does something cute or funny, gets scared in storms, or performs tricks.

There’s a reason dogs are called man’s best friend. They love you unconditionally and are always by your side, eager for your love and attention.
