Health and Fitness News
I will be eternally grateful to you for how you healed by back!

I started training with Coach Berry when I was 61 years old.  For four months, I had suffered a great deal of back pain and knew I need to do something different. When I began with Coach, he asked me how I was feeling.  After a lifetime of training with a number of different trainers I could only say I didn't feel great.  My back pain caused me to see chiropractors and accupuncturists, but I found no relief.  After one deep tissue massage, Coach immediately had me feeling better.  After two months of training Coach had me back to 100%.  He knows what he is doing when it comes to training and injuries.  He trains people to perform exercises correctly to avoid injuries.  I have worked with many different trainers all over the San Diego County and Coach Berry is the best, most effective trainer I have meet.  I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness levels.

Ron, age 62

Take CAUTION!

Warning signs and symptoms of cancer.

“It's just an annoying cough that won't go away, what's the harm?”
“I have to use the restroom a lot more often these days, I'm just getting old.”

When unexplainable things go on in your body, they can be easy to ignore or blame on something minor. But you're the only one who truly knows your body and can tell when things just aren't right.

Without jumping to the worst conclusion every time there's a symptom you can't explain, you should be aware of the warning signs and symptoms that can signal a condition that needs to be checked out. If your symptoms indicate cancer, the sooner you receive treatment, the greater your chance of a cure.

While many signs (something others can see about your health) and symptoms (a signal only you can feel or notice about your health) of cancer mimic other health conditions, it's important not to ignore them until it's too late. If you experience certain signs and symptoms for longer than two weeks, take CAUTION and see your physician.

C: Change in Bladder or Bowel Habits

You know your norm in the bathroom. So when out of the ordinary constipation or diarrhea happens or you begin experiencing painful urination or a change in how often you urinate, it could be an indication of bladder, bowel, or prostate cancer.

A: A Sore That Won't Heal

One symptom of skin cancer is a sore that doesn't want to go away. For oral cancer, the sore may be in your mouth. If you chew tobacco, smoke, or drink alcohol frequently, be vigilant of sores in your mouth.

U: Unusual Bleeding or Discharge

When blood shows up in places it shouldn't, it's right for you to be alarmed. While blood may only signal infection, hormonal imbalances, or hemorrhoids, don't ignore any amount of blood. A cough that brings up blood may indicate lung cancer. Visible blood in stool or very dark stool may be a sign of colorectal cancer. Abnormal vaginal bleeding could be the result of endometrial, uterine, or cervical cancer. Blood in your urine could signal bladder or kidney cancer. A discharge tinged with blood from the nipple could be a warning sign of breast cancer. And blood seen in vomit may indicate stomach or esophageal cancer.

T: Thickening or a Lump Found in the Body

A noticeable lump or thickening of the skin on the breasts, underarms, groin, testicles, abdomen, or neck is often the first sign of many cancers and should be evaluated by a doctor as soon as possible.

I: Indigestion or Trouble Swallowing

You never used to suffer from heartburn or bloating and now you do. Or maybe you just don't have the appetite you once had and feel full after a small meal. Most likely due to other causes, these symptoms shouldn't be ignored. Indigestion could be a sign of esophageal or stomach cancer, while bloating and a feeling of fullness may indicate ovarian cancer.

Difficulty swallowing your food, pain when swallowing, or feeling like food gets stuck on its way down isn't a good sign either. Esophageal, lung, and throat cancers may present themselves with these symptoms.

O: Obvious Change in Appearance of Moles

Skin cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers, so don't ignore changes in the size, color, or shape of new or existing moles. Skin cancer can also cause itching or show itself as darker-colored skin patches, yellowed or reddened skin, or strange hair growth.

N: Nagging Cough or Hoarseness

Lung, laryngeal, esophageal, and thyroid cancers are associated with coughs and/or hoarseness. Therefore, a persistent cough or a hoarse voice that lasts longer than six weeks should be checked out by a doctor.
